Written by Uwem Akpan, a Nigerian-born Catholic priest, this book of fiction draws its title from the story of a Rwandan mother trying to save her daughter from the genocide that is roaring toward her home. As her husband's rival tribesmen hunt her down, she tells her daughter to "say you're one of them."
